Welcome back!!

Welcome back 5 Greeners!

We have had a good start back at school for term 2 and have a busy time coming.

Don't come to school this Thursday (25th April) as instead we will be honouring all who have fought for our country.

We have a Saint Helena Island excursion happening on Friday 10th May with Naplan (14th, 15th and 16th May) the following week. 

We are hosting the grade 5 mass at 9am Wednesday morning and will be hosting assembly on Wednesday of wk 8 (5th June).

Keep up the good work in class students and remember:

"The more you read, the more you know.

Hello 5 Greenians

First of all, well done on the completion of your convict journals!  They look great!!

Congratulations to Zoe, Sam, Ben W and Jake who represented our school at swimming last Wednesday.

Term 1 is quickly coming to a close - 8 days to go until Easter break..... 

Don't forget showcase night is next Wednesday night in the classroom to exhibit all of your hard work from this term.

Hi Students of 5 Green, Family members and Friends,

We are in week 5 now which means we only have 4 weeks to go until Easter break.  As part of our vision statement, 'we are taking responsibility for our learning' it is very important students come to school wide awake and ready to learn. The following weeks will be jam packed with learning so I encourage all you year 5's to continue to work hard (some need to up the anti.....you know who you are.......) and finish the term with enthusiasm and optimism. 

Have a go, jump in with two feet, your head and your heart. Remember, if you have the right attitude, a mistake is simply a lesson learned......

You can't get anywhere unless you start

so.... lets go!!

 

 



Hello Everyone!

This term is flying! We are already ending week 4 and beginning week 5! Five weeks of the first term are left and we have a bunch of learning to do in that time.

We will be continuing to learn the art of persuasive writing for English. In History we will be stepping back in time and writing about our life as a convict being transported on the first fleet. In Religion we will be learning about the early Catholic Church in Australia and in Science we will investigate solids, liquids and gases. We will continue to strengthen our knowledge of operations, problem solving and number concepts in Maths.

Remember to continue reading every night....... As Dr Seuss says -

'The more you read, the more you will know;

The more you know the more places you will go!'
